Flooded farmland and the river Ribble

As the rain had stopped as I left work this afternoon I took a quick detour to look at how the river Ribble was faring after all the recent rain.

Apart from the flooded farmland it's not too apparent from the photo just how high the river Ribble was and getting a good clear view of the river from this road is not the easiest.

Let's hope for some drier weather soon.
