Rosie & Kim

After not going to canine hydrotherapy for a while, I really enjoyed being back today.

This little dog is Rosie. She is somewhat timid out of the water but once she's in, she transforms into a confident, excitable spaniel. Throw her rope toy in and she's on fire; listening for the splash and charging through the pool to retreive her prize. She swims in an increasing spiral until she locates it. After she's got it, she spins round and heads for the ramp at the side of the pool where she clambers up and eagerly awaits the next throw.

Rosie is blind.

Kim is a canine hydrotherapist and does a remarkable job with dogs of all shapes and sizes and with all kinds of conditions. Apart from spending all day everyday in a wet suit, this has to be one of the best jobs there is.
