Quartz

I forgot I even had my old rock collection in the garage. The kids found it and have been pretty excited about it. Gavin has been studying geology and rock formations in school so he brought this piece of quartz (?) to school to show. I wondered how it might look illuminated from behind - the results aren't too bad.
