Castoff

Scrambled about the slipway at the West end of Quidi Vidi Harbour after brunch with my brothers and brother-in-law. There are several small open boats drawn up out of the water for the Winter - or forever. Plus this abandoned fishing boat on the shore nearby.

Why are abandoned boats regarded as romantic, but abandoned cars are considered unsightly?
