The Barn
I've been chasing my tail all week so, was looking forward to the meets I'd organised for this weekend. Yesterday evening we went and had a quick drink locally as the storm was raging. The wind was still blowing strong and there were some heavy showers this morning, leaving no option other than to cancel. Better luck tomorrow!
After the wind died down the day turned out to be quite splendid. I took the dogs around Silent Pool to inspect the damage. Part of the path has disappeared into the pool, the new springs are stronger than they were a couple of days ago and the waters have now burst the banks. I removed a couple of large logs and the weeds that were entangled in the sluices in the vain hope that my neighbours garden might be a little less soggy this evening.
I really didn't want another image of Silent Pool up here this evening so, I waited for the moon and walked the dogs up to the top of the hill in the light. I got a couple of panoramic shots which came out well but decided to go for this image of one of the barns which sit behind my house. The waterlogged tractor tracks shone brightly in the moonlight and it was fun to light paint the barn and the calves. I'm afraid the calves don't stay very still when you shine a light on them.
