Versailles

Went to Versailles and unfortunately another dull day but thought the gold paint shone through.

It was absolutely massive and the decor inside was beautiful. The sixth formers were all trying to claim it was their house and imagining the amazing house parties they could have. However they decided that a stone floor and being drunk don't mix!

Also felt like a made a small step today as my friend needed the loo and we couldn't find it so I asked a lady in French. A very simple phrase but nevertheless she didn't look at me blankly which is a start. My accent however is still very much English!

In addiction to my incredibly small French question I also tried a snail! We visited a cafe for lunch and between us we decided to order some. After managing to hook one out if it's shell I took the plunge. At first all I could taste was garlic and onion but then got more of the snail which was chewy with an earthy kind of flavour. Not sure if I'd have them again but at least I can say I tried them. Frogs legs next!
