Much much better day

Finally remembered a Valentines Day! So that was good.

Got back to work of course, trying to get these damn kitchen cabinet doors to look a little nicer. If I had more time, yeah, I'd strip them down, but I haven't. I'm trying to build up a nice layer of paint with lots of sanding. They seem to be getting better each time I apply paint and then sand, but it's time consuming, especially with cold weather and drying times.

But what was really good about the day was that the 'compound' we got blown out on yesterday - is ON! Meeting on Monday to sign a sales contract. The other buyer got really lame and bottled out!!!

So so pleased about this. Essentially these are 3 horrible rental units, already rented with long term tenants, etc. This is a beautiful deal for us. We are literally being given cash by the seller to buy this from her. They aren't nice units, but they could be if we ever have to re-rent them. Plus there is 400sqft of unused space for a 4th unit if we wanted (another 1 bedroom apartment), which we're half considering. Now that would be a fun build! The other 'good' thing is that these are Section 8, so rents are paid by local Government.
