Even Sadder!
I wouldn't normally have used the statue today, but when I came up the road on my bike, I looked over at yesterday's blip and saw that the poor statue had been snared by a cobweb all the time.
It was totally invisible yesterday, even as I photographed it from different angles - incredible.
There are cobwebs everywhere - how the bees manage collect the honey in the summer I'll never know. Maybe that's why they dot about from flower to flower instead of just making a beeline from one to the next!
