On our way home.

We drove back to Timaru this afternoon and took the Tekapo route as we had to pick our four dogs up from the kennels they've been at since before Robs Birthday. normally they come to Wanaka with us but as we were doing the Doubtful Sounds over night cruise and various other things they had to stay behind this time.Painful to the pocket!! they were pleased to see us especially Bella who is Robs shadow.
I made R stop for a quick snap of Lake Pukaki it was particularly turquoise today, as we left the Tekapo area the temperature was about 26 but as we dropped down to Burkes Pass we watched the car gage go down quickly to 17 and the overcast clouds soon replaced the blue sky, oh dear!
The second photo shows the foggy mist that we see often engulfing the tops of the mountains like over flowing icing, we were driving at about a 100 so only got one shot of it out of the window!
