What struck my fancy

Oystercatcher in the sun

An almost cloudless sky with sunshine streaming down, 6 deg C to start then climbing to the dizzy heights of around 8 deg, so I went to Heacham beach to see what I could find. The same old sea defences, pools in the sand, colourful pebbles and shells all of which I have shown before, today all against a bright blue sky so not too appealing as a potential image.

I do not claim any wildlife skills but there were so many oystercatchers and snow buntings within a few metres that I thought I should try and photograph some nature for a change. The lens is at its longest at 300mm and I decided on this tagged oystercatcher with its fine reds for today's blip.
