As Days Go By

Teesside

Sunday lunch at grandma's and Grandad's today and a much nicer, sunnier day than we've had lately. Kids managed to play outside for a while and on the way home we stopped briefly near the Riverside Stadium to take a peek at Temenos.

A giant sculpture/installation by artist Anish Kapoor, when it was opened in 2010 it was the largest such structure in the UK. It contains half a mile of steel wire, holding together the two rings. Temenos means sacred ground apparently - named for the nearby football club do you think?
