Road Closed......

The day dawned bright and sunny and fairly warm so we decided to take a walk on the South Coast Path from Swanpool to Ghilly Beach and have some lunch in the cafe..
The road at Swanpool was impassable - the shingle covered the road and was at least 10" deep, so we decided to approach the beach from the Falmouth end - here the remains of the Friday storms were also in evidence - the whole road was flooded.

The path was mainly above the water so we managed our walk in the sunshine, the beaches were busy with dog wakers, young families, swimmers (brrr!!) paddle boarders and kyakers.. The tide was out so lots of children were rock pooling...

It was a lovely day topped off with cider and fishfinger sandwiches...
