Perch Rock
A much visited lighthouse at the mouth of the Mersey at New Brighton. I think this is certainly the most photographed lighthouse in my Blip journal
Coast seemed like the order of the day after recent weather and New Brighton is a much visited destination for us. There is just something gentle and easy about it, miles and miles of free parking and also miles and miles of free from traffic walking which is great especially as most footpaths are almost impassable at the moment due to the endless rain that we had.
We didn't do it today but it is possible to park at New Brighton, walk all the way to the ferry terminal at Seacombe next to the sea/river, jump on the Mersey ferry peruse the Tate and Albert Dock and then catch Mersey Rail back to New Brighton at the end of the day.
