what a day!

A lovely welcome from the puppies on our return. Grace has very fluffy feet!

Early this morning I decided to go to the show. Went for a little walk with the pups and left instructions for the kids to walk them again later. Chris decided against coming which turned out to be a good decision.

We set off at 9am to collect our friend. ETA was 11am. We made good time through the Dartford Crossing and into London. SatNav said we had 6 minutes to go which took an hour and a half. Parking had been diverted to Park and Ride which would have meant arrival at the ExCel around 1pm. We gave up and left London in dispair.

We headed to Maidstone to make something of the day by having lunch and visiting a motorcycle dealers. We spent 6 hours driving to eat a posh burger in a chain which has a branch 20 minutes away and a browse in an overheated showroom.

Back home early which surprised the kids. Chris had been dispatched to town to collect takeaway while Alice puppy sat. They remembered to walk the dogs this afternoon :)

Lesson learnt for next year, take the train or go up on the bike. Luckily we hadn't prepaid for the bike show or the parking so only the Outdoors Show ticket money wasted. Yawn. Sofa is more comfy than the car...
