After the storm

A beautiful day in Lyme Regis today. The sun felt WARM ! Lovely. A hint of Spring !
A friends baby was baptised this morning in church and one set of Godparents were unable to make it to Devon/Dorset due I presume to weather issues. So another friend and I were asked to step in as surrogate Godparents! So proud ! Dear little Ronin is a beautiful serene baby so it was a positive pleasure to stand up for him !
This afternoon my parents and I went for a walk along the Cobb and Marine Parade to get some fresh air and see for ourselves the devastation caused by the storms.
We've seen loads of footage of the waves pouring over the Cobb wall into the harbour but didn't realise quite how much debris and beach came with it ! You can see the enormous mound of stones deposited in the harbour and the trees and branches on the beach. Incredible. The seafront was as crowded as a day in August with interested sightseers and incredulous locals. What a place !
