Pat's Lambs

We were lucky enough to visit neighbour Pats farm today. Lambing is in full swing. One wee lamb was suckling on my finger, a major "aw" moment for an ex-toonser like me. They are gorgeous wee things and their mums are a force to be reckoned with, as is Pat who runs the farm and holds down another day job. She's up up at the farm in the wee small hours during lambing season helping things along, or helping her neighbour out with his sheep. Farming sounds like a tough business to me, lots of highs, some lows and lots and lots of hard work. Pat has successful country show seasons too, I think that must be very rewarding, socially a good laugh but a lot of hard work too. The sheep are lovely.
