Snowy Owl on the fly

I went down to the Manasquan Inlet again today. The inlet leads from our local river out to the ocean. I was lucky enough to catch the owl flying off of the jetty and over the ocean. The jetty is man made - that's what those unusual looking rocks are.

I thought the shot turned out pretty cool - the juxtaposition of man with nature. In my book, nature wins!

She looks very pretty close up. These owls are not usually seen in our area, so this was a very exciting day.
