Up town

Had a lazy morning and then this afternoon I took Bailey up Calton Hill for a walk and to take some pictures for suitable blips. Seemed every one else in Edinburgh had the same idea as it was busier than Princes Street on a Saturday afternoon up there.

This evening I met up with Shev and Dave and fellow blipper and new friend DramaQueen and her OH at the Guilford Arms for a mini blip meet and a few wee drinkies. They were in up in Edinburgh from Accrington for a gig tonight then heading back down home tomorrow.
What nice people. Other blippers CaptureAThought and his OH popped in for a bit too. It's funny how small the blip world really is and such nice people they all are.

I ended up with loads of Calton Hill shots but this is a picture of The Iron Duke (in bronze by Steel) in front of the North British Hotel (where Drama Queen is staying tonight). I walked past here on the way to the pub and thought it made for a appropriate blip for the day.
