What the heck is this?

Is it a bee or a wasp?? They are very small can hover and are really aggressive. I saw this one attack buble bee's and butterflies that came near it. Very pretty up close like this.

Mystery solved. This is a wool carder bee. They get their name because they collect fur off leaves and use it in their nests and the males are indeed very aggressive.
