Un Verger de Pommiers

This is in the community apple orchard just over the other side of the canal. Anyone can pick and use the apples from these trees and in the Autumn there is an Apple Festival Day here.

We walked through the orchard yesterday and I pictured this scene in black and white and thought it would make a good image for today’s technique challenge B&W. I went back there today and the scene looked completely different. Yesterday the sun was shining and there were bright spots and shadows adding to the scene. Today the sun only just managed to make a brief but very weak appearance and it’s amazing how much difference that makes. This is not quite the image I visualised.
