Evening light

After a very dull, grey day there was just enough light to catch the clouds this evening on our walk by the river.

In other news:
A friend told me he had recently had to re-apply for a passport as his previous one expired a few months ago.

He sent off 3 previous UK passports, his birth certificate and marriage certificate to validate he was a UK citizen. This wasn't, apparently, sufficient proof and he was invited to attend an interview - fortunately there is a passport office in Luton - so not too far to travel.

The interviewer was Nigerian.
My friend said:
"Of course I lead the interview by asking how long have you lived in the UK?"
"5 years"
"Oh, just 60 years less than me then!"
