Fishy Weather

Three of us sat in a boat getting soaked for about 7 hours today. We caught some lovely trout and had a laugh, once the shakey hands and headaches from last night had been washed away by the rain.

With the right gear, the rain is actually really nice, especially when it really chucks it down like this and the water boils. The fish didn't seem to mind anyway.

Dave managed to learn a new technique of fishing, while holding an umbrella and sitting on a space hopper (which was supposed to be more comfortable than the boat seats.) Luckily we weren't up to our usual trick of rocking the boat to try and get each other to fall in, otherwise his umbrella and space hopper would have been joining him with the fishes. (& we would probably have forgotten to save him for laughing so hard.)

I think it will be a week before I feel completely dry again.
