Rings

The tall Scots pine in our churchyard has now been taken right down, after a huge part of it crashed onto the ground during a storm on Christmas Eve. This is a section of it, showing the rings in an interesting way - which set would show the age of the tree?
The rain came back today, but the wind did not, so dog walking was possible this morning, and as Russet had a dip in the moat, the rain did not make much difference to her!
