Dark
Long weekend staying on the edge of Galloway Forest Park. It's a part of the country many people pass by on their rush to the highlands, but it's their loss - it's a beautiful part of Scotland. One of the main reasons for going was to see the stars - Galloway Forest Park is a designated 'Dark Skies Park', which means there's very little light pollution. Unfortunately, despite getting pretty decent weather (especially considering the battering the rest of the country was taking), it rained most nights, so the opportunities for star-spotting were somewhat limited. Just gives us an excuse to go back :)
