There just had to be an accordion playing classic Italian music at the Our Lady of the Valley Italian Catholic Federation Annual Sit-Down Lasagna Dinner.

The food was sumptuous. The portions enormous. For fifteen bucks you got wine, salad, rolls, two meatballs and the largest plate of homemade lasagna I have ever seen. Italian cookies and coffee were then served family style on the tables.

They served almost five hundred meals. As the newest member of the ICF, I'll be working the next dinner. My aches and pains were my excuse today. Believe me, they asked!

I see cold lasagna for breakfast in my future. Yum!

Oh, and the music? It was ear shattering!
