Forest Seedling

Today is Day 2 of the course with Freeman Patterson and Sally Mason at Hopewell Lodge in the Marlborough Sounds.

The group I was with this morning was given 3 areas to visit, to see what our 5 senses had to say to us about each area. I've chosen the forest area, and this image in particular, because I liked the sound of the waves lapping against the shore, the feel of the wind against my skin, the smell of the forest around me and the beautiful bright green of this little seedling (I think it might be a beech) against the rich brown of the forest floor. The seedling is about 4" high.
