Vermivora celata
#41 - BlipBigYear 2014
Another rainy day, another grainy shot. One longs so sullenly for a Canon EOS 7D on dark days like this one...perhaps some day. I'm happy though to have captured a rather flitty species that has only recently been frequenting the garden--an Orange-Crowned Warbler. She is one of a select few wood warblers that brave the California coastal winter, easily distinguished from the others by her dull yellow plumage, broken eye ring, and sharp little bill.
