Rhododendron leaves

This is Rhododenron ‘Etta Burrows’ a rich red early bloomer that has tiny hairs on the twigs and buds and has a wonderful undulation to the bundles of leaves. Rhododendrons, as so many shrubs, have a short bloom period; the rest of the year, appreciating the leaves and form can add so much to the seasonal experience.
