Amazing displays of speed today at the Peanut Relay in the AOG at Pacific Northwest Stadium. This competitor was so fast that the Judges weren’t certain he’d rounded the pylon, but instant replay showed that he had. He went on to win a silver medal, just missing gold by mere fractions.

Gloria Gull is still standing by, ready to compete in the Swoop and Glide. She’s been practicing and looks very fit. I think she’s in top form. She’s a little cranky because of the delays in the event due to more rain, and is rapidly losing patience with the photographer who is still having trouble with her back and who spent the day having x-rays taken at the clinic. Actually, Gloria may be looking for another photographer who isn't loopy from pain killers. She's not likely to miss the competition and is looking into her options, including a beak-cam.
