Squirrel vs. Hickory

I woke up at 5:45 this morning, and since I couldn't go back to sleep, I just started my day really early. I had a nice morning--tea and coffee and eggs and toast and Leopold.

I went to Mann, but there was this thing in the sky... the Sun. Gosh. I couldn't help but walking a bit around the Plantations before starting calc. I watched a squirrel gnawing at a hickory nut for the longest time.

And just like the squirrel, it took me way too long to do three problems of calc, but unlike the squirrel, I was unsuccessful. I did all of them wrong. No no no. No. No.

Due to the impending closing of Mann, and Sarah's requests, I went downtown to pick up a free hat from Art and Found. Plot twist. They ran out. Looked unsuccessfully for boots in Trader K's. Headed back to my room, and just vegged out, and god knows I needed it. I watched The Royal Tenenbaums, which was good, but also had an extremely unexpected and jarring (attempted) suicide scene? Ugh.

MAYBE I will sleep all the way through the night tonight. We will see.
