Old quarry

There is much more to Brownhill Creek than bugs, majestic river red gums, dragons, birds, wasps and water. There are also old quarries.

These stone quarries provided sandstone and slate for local buildings in the area and some of the stone was also used for buildings in the centre of the city in the early years.
