Sad muddy horses

With all the news from the UK of horses left to die in flooded fields, I thought I'd blip the two rescue horses long abandoned to their fate in the field at the end of our road.
The neighbour opposite their field keeps an eye on them and noticed they were so hungry that they were eating away all the fence posts, and bark from the trees, so she gives them a little hay and I feed them carrots. They've stopped eating the posts I think but still look more bedraggled than usual, but then don't we all in all this rain?
