Part 2: Milan

In the interest of speed I'm going to go back and fill in the last few days of Granada - if it's not easy to tell the last couple of weeks have been crazily hectic! So arrived at the hotel in Milan late afternoon on the 14th having had a rather long journey beginning at 7am in Granada having left straight from Vogue... No surprises there. So arrived at our rather lovely luxury hotel exhausted, looking slightly rough and quite possibly exuding a slight smell of alcohol. But nothing a shower and a quick nap before dinner couldn't cure.

Spent Saturday wandering around Milan, and by wandering I mean shop hopping. Only my mum could by a dress within the first 10 mins of leaving the hotel. Despite the amount of time spent shopping, really my main goal was to find somewhere to live. Easier said than done when you take into account Italians sporadic replying to messages. Saw one flat but as it was located in the middle of nowhere, that was a no. Later in the afternoon we made it past the shops to see the Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emmanuelle, both beautiful buildings, before heading home for dinner and more trawling the internet for potential flats.
