Diversion
Today I couldn't be bothered so I didn't go to work, as I worked nearly 50 hours last week and I don't get overtime just time off taking a day off isn't as bad as it sounds. I have another 14 hour day this Thursday so that makes up todays seven hours on its own.
Up and straight into Bishops Stortford this morning, latest I've slept for ages, 08:00, coffee and pain au raisin at Caffe Nero, a wander round M & S, purchased some lunch, then to Waterstones where I treated myself to a few books, then a coffee in their Costa, before driving home.
I took a 'diversion' instead of the usual route I took a small road from Manuden to Rickling, it is a single track road, I stopped several times to take various shots, this is the one I like best.
It is best viewed large.
Now at home, I've had my lunch and I am currently reading 'The Shock of the Fall', the Costa Book of the Year 2013. Think I am going to have a job putting it down but I do need to do some jobs and would also like to do some knitting, I think I need for hands and eyes!
I also need to keep the washing machine going and maybe do some ironing and make the beds ready for a visit from Geoff's daughter Jenny and her family tomorrow.
Can't wait for Geoff to come home and to give him a hug, I miss him on days like this.
