Cherry Plum and Poplar

We paddled out across one of our Commons today, raining again and many of the Commons are under water. Surprised to see Prunus cerasifera "Cherry Plum" bursting into flower about 4 weeks earlier than last year. Last year frost and cold conditions for several weeks resulted in virtually no fruits. Hopefully this year we will have buckets full of the tasty, red, yellow or purplish fruits great for Jam or just eating when walking along. Keep saying I must make some wine!!!!
Bark is of a Poplar spotted on our walk. Look out for tomorrows collage, must be Barking Mad!!
