Little People Make Big Messes!
*Sigh*...One day I'll have a clean and tidy house, I won't be running around like a madwoman, picking up after 3 young children and one messy husband. But man, I'll be bored! It's easy to get overwhelmed with the sheer amount of work involved in being 'Mummy', tidying the same area over and over, navigating the toys in order to avoid standing on the much feared Lego and constantly finding food where food shouldn't be! I try to remind myself that the important thing is to enjoy my children, enjoy life and make the most of their imaginations. To cherish the feel of tiny hands in mine and chubby arms around my neck.
It's not always easy to think positively so, future self, this is the mess which once surrounded you. I also want to remind you of the swell of pride today when Elsie, aged 10 months, placed one brick on top of another - her first tower! I want to jog the memory of Poppy and Violet in Disney princess dresses and plastic heels, dancing to the sleeping beauty soundtrack.
Yes, future Kerri, it was hard but it was also wonderful, the time of your life! You never felt so loved or so proud.
