Ponderosa Forest

It is illegal to cut down a Ponderosa here in Sunriver. They're quite majestic with beautiful dark bark tinged with red, but very messy close to the house! (We have one too close and wish we could get rid of it!) They always remind me of the song, "if you go out in the woods today...." We're headed back to Portland today so today I am ever so grateful for a home to return to that I love as much as the one I am leaving.
