Snow Leopard

I've had the most wonderful day with the grandchildren at Banham Zoo. It's a lovely place to visit where the animals have large wooded and grass enclosures and they seem happy along with the staff who we met and spoke to. We watched feeding time for the Snow Leopards and Tigers, watched the endearing little Meercats (Simples) and all in all we've all come away happy and tired.

The Snow Leopard is an endangered species with only between 3000 and 10000 left worldwide, with 370 in captivity. They are hunted, can you believe, for their pelts and a vast area of their natural habitat is being destroyed by man. When will man ever learn that their greed is destroying our natural world!!
