Limit Line

I was walking down the street and was faced with this tape. I didn't know what to do.. Should I "cross the line' or go 'over the limit'?

In the end, I took my blip for the day and walked 'over the edge', 'around the corner' and 'into my school'. Holy crap!!! I must be an English teacher.
