Scandinavian Sølje.

Biz's blip of her mothers brooch reminded me of this old Sølje from Norway. If you Google the word you will find many similar brooches all with dangly bits and made in Scandinavia. My computer is set up for English and Danish hence the Ø (as well as Æ and Å) which are 3 extra letters in the alphabet. I do admit the whole keyboard is thrown into chaos, when I change language by hitting Ctrl/Shift, but you can get used to anything. I was given this on a visit to Norway as an 18 year old lass. Seeing I am about to celebrate my 85th birthday, it has lasted well.
