Hideous but functional - ish.

We are having some problems with our fuse box, and have lost power to all the sockets in the flat except, thankfully, the kitchen. Our trustworthy electrician is not available until next week, so we've had to make do. We've also had to buy a new battery powered alarm clock.

With no real time to shop today, we've ended up with this beaut from Robert Dyas. It has 9 - honestly, 9 - alarm tones, all of which sound like the noises a knock off Gameboy (Gamebay? Gamingboy?) from the market circa 1989 would have made after a cycle in the washing machine. It's funny now, but will it be amusing when we are woken by a tinny tribute to the William Tell Overture at 6.30am?
