Into the mist, Palacerigg Country Park
My walk today was a little longer than I had planned. Set off on the 'red route' through Palacerigg Country Park in Cumbernauld, which is basically a series of paths south of the visitor centre and around the perimeter of the golf course, but at the end of that I then followed the 'blue route' northwards, rather than return to the visitor centre. So in the end what I had intended as a 1-hour walk became a 2-hour walk.
I think the reason was a combination of the dry weather (although wet and muddy underfoot) and the birds which were singing big-style in the trees, giving the place a real 'spring' feel to it. However, most of the photos I took today were of the trees, which are beginning to bud, rather than the landscape which looked uninspiring in the dull weather.
