Hills and valleys

We're in the Lake District!

This is one of my most favourite views in the world looking across the fields towards Elterwater with the Langdale Pikes in the distance just dusted with snow.

I have many fond memories associated with this view, going back nearly 30 years (yes, I'm really that old!) and it's just as amazing every time I see it.

What's particularly wonderful is that, if today's visit is anything to go by, my youngest seems to be just as taken with it as I am.
