Yet another view of Corfe Castle

This is a viewpoint of which few photographers seem to be aware. An early morning blip would ensure a low volume of traffic and a good number of dogs and their owners - but virtually nobody else - taking their early morning exercise.

We are almost at the bottom of West Street, the end of the town. A hundred yards further and we would be on Corfe Common. The early morning light, tinged with a hint of red, is coming from the right and brightening the fronts of the houses on the left side of the road.

It's time for a moan about visual clutter. I have removed from this photo four traffic cones (three yellow, one red and white) plus one EXTREMELY LARGE white van (they exist in no muted, photographer-friendly colour) displaying a "HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE" sign in letters at least nine inches high.

I thought I should leave the black refuse bins in place: they are less visually obtrusive, and I didn't want to upset their owners.
