New Art

My wife, who since moving to Mexico has been creating various types of art projects, has recently been inspired by some good friends to try her hand working with gourds. This couple has many books on gourd art, gourd tools, and lots of raw, untouched gourds on which Shelley can practice. She has completed four different projects so far, this one being her latest. She made it for me as a Valentine's Day present. It has sat proudly on my work table ever since, holding all the little things that once cluttered my work surface - practical as well as beautiful.
