Jess of Bogeney

This is the monument on the Dava Way to Jess the collie from Bogeney. Mrs MacDonald, last resident of this remote croft would send her messages list with the postie. The goods were then supplied in town, parcelled up, tied with a special knot and put on the train. When the whistle blew, Jess raced down to the railway, took the parcel and delivered it safely.
