Looking forward
to a summer of wine on the terrace, flowers blooming in the pots, and roses everywhere. I spent over an hour pruning about half of the roses in my garden. I love pruning, it's very satisfying to imagine the energy of the rose being stimulated to produce lots of stems and blooms. The rose in the picture is called Eglantyne, it's a very pretty pale pink, a David Austin English rose, that's why it's not hard pruned, you just take about a third off after the first year in the ground.
