A Right Royal Favourite

I went for a walk to our local church this morning as extensive renovations have just been completed with its internal decoration. The church interior is a real treat, as it is deemed to be the finest Rococo Gothic church in the country. It was influenced by Horace Walpole whose 'Strawberry Hill' became synonymous with the Gothic style. It has an interesting, almost oriental-looking blue and white interior, with decorative arches and an extravagant three-decker pulpit. Prince Charles made his 2nd visit to the church last month to see the outcome of the renovation, for which he made a generous donation about 10 years ago.
