Slip
The boat will need to have its hull re-blacked, probably later this year, certainly by next year. This is where the deed will be done, on the Forth and Clyde canal society's slipway, just opposite the Stables pub near Kirkintilloch. They have a diesel winch that pulls the bogeys up the incline - all you have to do is sail onto them, down in the canal, make her fast and up she rises! Hard work in store, getting the hull clean and back to a surface ready for the tar pitch painting. Four or five days of hard labour. Maybe one of these years I will go for the expensive option and get the hire boat people at Falkirk to do it for me...
