Flowers are beginning to sprout

I don't know the name of this plant in today's blip - there are several of them at work. I think that each of the petals in this picture will open up into a flower.

Update: I had mentioned about the cedar tree in one my blips earlier this week. I had written to the grounds manager saying how very sad I was about losing the tree. He has assured me that they will be planting a number of trees of same tree-type in that spot.
